We can act as a sounding board, provide advice, review the response to complaints, help you to prepare statements and assist you at internal hospital investigations, disciplinary processes and the GMC.
We will ensure that your insurer is notified and specialist solicitors are appointed if necessary. Our in-house medico-legal director is a practising healthcare solicitor with over twenty years’ experience of assisting doctors.

You can access our on-line application form to join ORLIS here. You will need to provide details about the scope of your practice, the number of sessions you work in the NHS and independent sector and any previous claims against you. The form may be saved in sections as you go along so you can return to complete it. Once you submit it, one of our in-house medical indemnity advisers will contact you to finalise any outstanding matters and you will then receive a fully personalised cost for your membership of ORLIS.
